My Review of Man On A Ledge

Going into Man On A Ledge I was pretty much just expecting an average movie and thats what I came out with.

Man On A Ledge stars Sam Worthington, Jamie Bell, and also Elizabeth Banks, for me she was definetly the stand out in this movie, I had'nt seen her in a movie in quite a while. So the acting was a plus!

The Oscars are Coming!

After looking over the nominations for the 2012 Oscars I must say I am a little bit dissapointed, there were a few snubs and a few suprises. Here are some of them

Tintin not getting Best Animated Feature nomination, this movie really deserved it, but I kind of forgot about the motion capture rule that The Academy has, but now im really hoping Kung Fu Panda 2 takes the award home.

Golden Globe Suprises

The Golden Globes are now over and the winners have been chosen. I went 6 and 3 for my predictions at this years awards here are some of the big suprises

1. Meryl Streep winning Best Actress Drama over Viola Davis in The Iron Lady. Never would have seen it coming. Definetly the biggest suprise of the Golden Globes.

2. Martin Scorsese winning Best Director. I thought this would go to the director of The Artist but turns out not. I was pretty shocked by this one I honestly didnt think he stood a chance

3. Tintin winning Best Animated movie. I Thought it was going to Rango but im glad it went to Tintin instead because I wasnt a big fan of Rango and I really enjoyed Tintin.

4. Lasty Best Screenplay going too Woody Allen for Midnight in Paris, I thought It would go to Alexander Payne for The Descendants.

Overall this years Golden Globes had some good and bad suprises and now
Im excited to see who wins Best Picture at the Oscars. Right now its The Artist vs. The Descendants

The Devil Inside's Scary Opener

I dont know if it was just me but I thought The Devil Inside was just going to be another box office faiure but I was so wrong. It opened to an amazing 34.5 Million. First of all I thought for sure Mission: Impossible 4 was going to take first for the third weekend in a row due to the lack of movies coming out. Also, The Devil Inside has like a 7 Percent on Rotten Tomatoes which is completely awful and I thought people would realize that it was going to be bad, but supposively not. I am personally thinking that lots of horror fans flocked to the theaters to see it because there has been a big craze for horror movies and not very many coming out.

It also could have been the lack of anything coming out this weekend. This was the only really major release this whole weekend. So im guessing that brought more people to the theater as well, at least the one's who have already seen MI: 4, In my opinion The Devil Inside is already a hit box office wise,

but review wise, not at all. This movie will face some competion next weekend with Beauty and the Beast in 3D, Contraband, and Joyful Noise all opening but I still think this movie has yet another shot at taking first place.
